Joliet, 111., Aug. 27.- Just bef ore the board of penitontiary commissionera ad journed Saturday Warden McClaughry sent them his resignation, to take effect Deo. 1. He resigns to accept the position of warden of the new state reformatory at Huatingdon Pa., lately offered him.
