Mrs. L. J. Lieserner is very seriously ïll. Emanuel Spring was in Detroit yesterday. Jacob Schanzhas removed to this city f rom Manchester. Howard Gidley returned to Graiid liapids, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. lioble have re. turned from Albion, N. Y. Mr. and Mis. Israel Hall have re;urned from a visit to Chicago. Judge T. M. Cooley leftfor Washington, D. C, the flrsl of the week. Mrs Charles S. Millen gave a de. ightful reception, Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. S. W. Clarkson and daughters are visiting in Manchester and Macon. Elmer Crawford, of the EastSaginaw Telegram, was in the city over Sunday. Benjamin D. Thompson, of Ypsilanti, was in the city yesterday on hi3 way to Toledo. Miss Jennie Garrity returned last Saturday from a two montbs visit in Jackson. John and James JL. Duffy attended the great athletic meeting in Detroit. Wednesday. Alexander Hoffoaan, of Grand Blanc, was visiting nis cousin J. i Hoffman, last Sunday. Mrs. VV. M. Featherly, of Au SaMe is spending a week with her sister, Mrs. J. P. Hoffman. Mr. Theobald Seyler went to Waterloo, Canada, last Saturday to spend the winter with a son. Howard Holmes, of the Register, bas been called suddenly to Byron, by the illness of bis father. Mr. and Mrs.JohnK. Yocum and Mr. and Mrs. E. Skidmoie, of Chelsea, are visiting Mis. F. A. Howlett. Mrs. lloyce, of Farwell, Mich., arrived Wednesday evening on a week's visit at her fathers, D. Millen's. Martin Clark has started on his annual tour over the state in the interest of the Physician and Surgeon. George Gilman, of Ilutchinson, Kansas, accompanied by his cousin, Miss Cliue, is visiting his molher, Mrs. Philip Baur, of Salem. Fred S. Hubbard returned to bis duties as stenogiapher for the interstate commerce eommission, Sunday. greatly improved in his bealth. C. Mack went east last week and reports some heavy parchases at prices due to the lateness of the season and overloaded eommission dealers. Chas. Dietas returned from Jackson. Monday, where he has been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. August Kesstler. and reports having a good time. Miss. Fannie L. G winner, who has been spending vacation with hei parents on South Fourtli street, in this city, returned to Short Hills, N. Y., on Monday, to resume her duties as teacher of Germán, French and Music, in the Baquet tnstitute.
