To Mr. and Mis. C. M. Webb, a daughter, September 23rd. A number of people of Saline and vicinity are attending the Hillsdale fair this week. Mr. A.J. Clark has gone to the Hillsdale fair to cxhibit his new patent wind mili. The lake shore railroad company lave a gang of hands working on ie Ypsilanti branch this week. They say there is a red oak pole with a Harrison & Morton flag in arnegat. What does that signify ? J. W. Huil and H. Liesimer are making lively times in the grain market here, wheat one dollar per Jushel. Hon. Willard Stearns orates in Wallace Hall on Oct. 20. He will thoroughly demolish Allen's arguments. The new iron bridge over the Saline river is completed. It is a good substantial structure and a credit to the people of Saline. Hon. E. P. Allen speakes on the political issues of the campaign next Thursday evening at the Wallace Hall in Saline village. D. A. Bennett, station agent for the lake shore railroad company, has gone to Clayton to attend the funeral of Mrs Bennett's mother. Mr. A. Gloverofthe firrn of Dennis & Glover are exhibiting their engine at the Hillsdale fair this week. It is a novel ty and atiracting a good deal of attention. Mr. F red Gauntlett, O. M. Kel" sey's efficiƫnt clerk, has gone to South Lyon to engage in a more ucrative business. Saline loses a jood business young man. May uccess attend him.
