(Beceived too late for last week.) Wheat is coming in rapidly. Mrs. L Senger left for Chicago last Thursday. A few of our young men had an enjovable time last tíunday. Frank J3urtiss altended the Hillsdale county fair last Wednesilay. The german choir intentl to attend lig: mission least at Ann Arbor next Monday. Mrs. John Haag left for Arlington Heights, Illinois last Thursday to attend her sick daughter. Two tall and slender hickory poles were erected last Wednesday by our democratie citizens. The Green and Conklin familiet arrived salely at Gilroy, Cal., and are much pieased with the locahty. The VV. C. T. U.,of Washtenaw county, held its annual cotiventioa here Wednesday and Thursday. Our next congressman Mr. Willard btearns, oí Adnan, gave a rousing bptech at Goodyear hall last VVednesday evening. Mr. Fied VanDuyn will play with the Clinton base ball team against the Jackson tri-state league next Jb'riday and Öaturday.
