Capt. Allen of Ypsilanti was in town Monday. J, A. üilmour ;s going braking on the Wabash. Chas. Schmitt and wife are visiting in Chicago. F. J. Hammond was a Detroit visitor Wednesday. Anton and John Gable were Ann Arbor visitors, Monday. Miss Barbara Gable is visiting at her former home in Ohio. Mr. J. Mason of Toledo is visiting relatives in this vicinity. Marley Tedder is working on the railroad at Battle Creek. John Gifford expects bis son-inlaw to move here from Ohio. Mr. M. J. Lehman of Chelsea was in town Monday evening. The new eider mili started to grind Monday, and they are doing good work. Married, at Ann Arbor, Oct. 4th, Mrs. E. S. Hammond and Mr. John Ambrose, both of this place. Mr. John Gilmour started his feed mili this week and is now ready to do all kinds of feed grinding. A good many of our citizens take advantage of the art loan excursión and visit Detroit every Thursday. The republican meeting at the town hoiise Saturday evening was well attended by the democrats, but they did not learn anything, as the speaker, Judge Van Zile of Charlotte, failed to make an appearance.
