S. R. Niles has been very sick for nearly a week with dysentery, but is some better, although not entirely out of danger yet. Died: Saturday, Oct. 13, oí paralysis, Ella, wife of Morris Niles Mrs. Niles was stricken only a few days ago but never rallied from the shock. Died: Sunday, Oct. 14, of hemorrhage of the lungs, Horatio Northrup, aged 66 years. Deceased was a prominent tarmer of Wayne county and lived at West Sumpter, about four miles southeast of this place. He had been enjoying usuaüy good health until he was attacked a lew days ago. He leaves a wife and two children. Hou, L. R. Brown met wifh quite a serious accident a few days ago. He was picking apples and missed his footing on the ladder and feil to the ground, about ten feet, striking on h:s head, severely injuring his back and otherwise bruising him. At last reports he was slowly improving.
