The grain trade is rather slow since the fall n price. J. VV. Kuil is buymg and shipping arge quantities of' apples. Agents are numeroua just now, around settling with local agents. Miss Cynthia Hall started for her home at Traverse City last Monday. Aaron H. Goodrich, one of the oldest pioneers of Saline, is very feeble. J. H. Barr & Sons are doing a rushing business in the eider and sorghum business. Saline turned out in full force to attend the big mass meeting at Ann Arbor, Wednesday last. E. P. Harper, Dr. H. A. Nichols and the Stimsons have gone north on a hunting excursión. A party of four went to Pleasnnt Lake Mondav last on a hunting excursión and returned very tired with but ittle game. Hon. C. R. Whitman speaks next Saturday at the W allace Hall in Saline, on the political issues of the day. Come one, come all. Charles will give you facts.
