Minneapolis, Minn , Nov. 13.- The Chicago Tribune of Monday stated that an appeal had been made to the Chicago Grand Army posts for contributions to assist Grand Army men in Dakota, 500 of whom were said to he suffermg for the necessaries of life, ovving to the failure of the crops. S. H. Jumper, of Aberdeen, adjutant general of the Grand Army in Dakota, telegraphs The Journal as follows: "I do not believe there is any suffering among the Grand Army men in JJakota. If there is, the Grand Army of üakota will take care of them."
