The Chronicle is urging a minstre show for the benefit of the gymnasium The Universitv Rugby team will tr for a $300 cup with the University club of Chicago. Illegal voting at the senior election last Saturday caused three ballots to b thrown out. Four of the J apáñese students joiue( the Unitarian church in this city, tw of whom have returned to Japan . Dr. Herdman accompanied by abou fiftv medical students visited the Pon tiac insane asylum last Saturday. Mrs. Mary A. Livermore delivered the first of the lectures of the Lectur Association in University hall Wednes day evening. Gerritt Piekema, who graduated trom the University in 1883, has been re-elected to the Michigan legislatur and will probably be the next speake of the house. The Two-Year Freshmen in the Den tal department have elected E. A Honey, of Canada, president; W. H Seiberst, of California, vice-president F. Sizelan, of New York, secretary and C. C Mernman, of Wisconsin treasurer. If there are "fast" fraternitiea at Ann Arbor they are certainly not amonK the popular societies. All the leading fraternities take a real pride in the college standing of their members, and 'bumming" is not considfered an accomplishment. - Detroit Journal.
