Gen. Church and Mr. Peet of Ithaca, Mich., who are interested in the new stieet railwav m this city, were here Tue3day. ïliey tramped over a good part of the route, interviewed the city engineer and decided that it would uot be uecessary to have a survey of the streets taken. 'JL'hey propose to begiö work early in the spring. There are several points yet undecided by the company. One is the kind of motive power to run the cars. It may be horse power and it may be an electro railway. They are iövestigating the latter poiat and ivere uuable to give us any deüuite imformation on as to just which power would be selected. Theré does jjot seem mucu doubt abou t a street railway in thls city payiug after it hafl been in operation tvvo or three years. Our population is steadily growiug and yery many of our citizens wlll be glad of the accommodationa a street railwav will afford them.
