An editor named Halford, of Indianapolis, is to be Harrison's private secretary. This is not the Halford of the Ann Arbor Daily News fame. If it were, wouldn't the detnocrats be garnering a stack of campaign material for 1892? The w ome tl 01 uiib country have invented and patented over 2,000 aiticles. Last ytar 18S patents were granted them. The first patent given to a vvoman ;n this country was in 1S09 for straw weaving, the second patent was in 1S15 for a corset. Feminine inventive genius has of late years been receiving added ímpetus and the numbers ot their inventions may be expected to rapidly increase.
