Spkingfild, III., Nov. 25. - Gen. John M. Palmer, late Democratie candidato for governor of Illinois, has witbdrawa from membersbip in the Grand Army of the Republic. It is stated that bis aotion is dua to the belief, from observation duriug the late political eampaigii, that the G. A R. is baiog used in the interests of the Republinau party. Upon being asked hi3 reasons for withdrawing; from the organization, wita wbich he bas been connected for mauy years.
