Spkingfild, III., Nov. 25. - Gen. John M. Palmer, late Democratie candidato for governor of Illinois, has witbdrawa from membersbip in the Grand Army of the Republic. It is stated that bis aotion is dua to the belief, from observation duriug the late political eampaigii, that the G. A R. is baiog used in the interests of the Republinau party. Upon being asked hi3 reasons for withdrawing; from the organization, wita wbich he bas been connected for mauy years. Gen Palmer sairl: I am sorry for even thii seeming inteation of separatinf; rrxyself from any number of my old comrades ia arras. From the betrinaing uatil the present year I have beau eatliuaiastically hopeful for its good. I have been disappointed, that'a all, aad my po t has very prouiptly and very honorably given me my withdrawal oard.
