General health in this vicinity a good at present. Mr. David Holden and Mr. Harrison Harword and families are visiting friends in this neighborhood. Miss Brown, of Ann Arbor, is the guest at present of Mrs. Charles Johnson. The output of one of our eider manufacturers, Mr. J. Fiegel, for this season s about 1,000 barrels. A change in agents has taken place at the junction. D. S. Segner goes to Manchester and is succeeded by W. A. Peters. Winter term of school in school district No. 3 began Monday with Miss Addie Critteuden, of Macon, L.enawee county, as teacher. A good blanket, net of wool but snow, is what farmers want now for their wheat and grass, the present open weather being very injurious. Onion raisers regard the business as a failure this season on account of the market being practicallv nowhere. One man sold ioo bushels for $1.25 or 1 1 cents per bushei .tnd others are in the same fix. The tearful bulb is below par.
