Caught For Stealing An Overcoat
An overcoat was stolen ou JSTorth University avenue ïuesday. A stud3nt followed the man with the coat soms distance but finally lost track ot liim. Tuesday night the thief sold the joat at Green's second haud store for 3eventy flve cents. Shortly afterwards the offlcers were notified of the where abouts of the coat and soon had the thief in charge. He turned out to be William Anderson, who had been released f rom jail on Monday, He was arrested last August charged with breaking into Mr. Banüeld's house. He was tried during the October term of court, tbe jury disagreeing. He was ound over to the present term of court, ut, as the man had already been in ail four months and there was a possiility of bis being acqnitted, the couuty as not put to the expense of a trial. ; looks now as if Anderson might lave to go over the road anvway.
