The council,Monday night,decided to have an accounting with Mr. Selhck Wood, who accepted an assignment of all the property of Albert Sorg, after Sorg's shortage as city treasurer was discovered, in trust to repay the bondsmati of .Sorg what they paid the city and in trust for the city for the remainder of the shortage. Wood realized enough to reitnburse the bondsmen and to pay a large bill of expenses and had considerable personal property left which he assigned to Mrs. Sorg, although warned by tne city cfficials that he would be held responsible as trustee for the city. He has never been called to an accounting before. The city authorities having now made np tlieir mir.d that nothing is to be gained bv further delay, Mr. vVood will be asked to render an account to the city of nis trusteeship. At the same time the council desired the Mayor and city attornev to counsel with the prosecuting attorney with a view of instiluling criminal proceedings against Albert Sorg, who has failed to manifest an intention of doing his best to make up the deĆ¼cit.
