liast t nday a üohemian oat case occupied the attention of the court. Bernard Parker sued Ira Gloyer on a note growing out of an oat transaction. The case was tiied by a jury and a verdict rendered of nv cause of action . It seems as if Bohemian oat notes were not regarded with favor by juiies in this county. The case of George V. Gill vs. Stephen Hutchinson was called and a jury secured. When the plaintifTs attorney stated his case, it was developed that the real defendant was Mr. Elmo, a cousin of Judge Kinne's, so that the case was postponed until some other judge should be secured to hear it. John W. Coyne was admitted to the bar. William Anderson was tried Monday for stealing an overcoat as detailed in last weeks Argus. Chas. H. Kline was appointed to defend him. The jury found him guilty and the Judge sentenced him to three years in Jackson. Ia the case of Fred Wagner vs. George Cavanaugh, judgment was rendered by consent for $939.69. Root, Ktrong & Co. vs. Calvin Mitchell was continued. In Ehza Jane Calhoun vs. Toledo, Ann Arbor and North Michigan railroad, the plaintiff submitted to a nonsuit.
