A Christmas Matinee
Xt the grand opera house on the afternoon of Cbristmas day, Harrv Amlar with a competent troup wtll play an Livig Lie. Of this play the St. Louis Globe Democrat says: The four-act comedy drama, "A Living Lie," was giveu at the l'eople's last night to a )arge and well-pleased audience. It's a very lively and interesting play; with a good solid plot, and held the audience until the end. The characters are all good and were al) well played. Mr. Harry Amlar as Frank Ainsley, the hero of the plot, stistained three characters, and as the detective f rom "Souf Car'lina"andCon O'Mara, ao ex-gold digger, he was very funny and kept the audience in excellent spirits. Miss Curry as the heroine. and Miss Larkelle the pert soubrette, deserve special mention. The specialties were all new and vvere heartily encored. Miss Francés Amlar was especially öne in her rendition of choice songs.
