Sang "the Star-spangled Banner."

LONDOM, Dec. 2á.- The United States minister and Mrs. Phelps attended tbe exeroises of tbe United Westminister schools Friday. Mrs. Phelps distribmed the pi'izes. The ehoir sang "The Star-Spangled Banner." Mr. Phelps in an address said that botb ha and Mrs. Pbelps would return to America with pleasant memories ot their stay in England. Mr. Mundelta, in proposing a Tote of thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Phelps, said that no other minister had ever been more welcome in England than Mr. Phelps. Lord Hobhouse seconded the proposal, which was carried with enthusinsm.
