If you were to go through a Tyroles village at 6 o'clock in ihe evening, you woiúd hear f rom every cottagre a hum like that of a hive of bees, every one, father and niother, chiMren and servan ts, saying their prayera. It is ïnucli the same at noon, only thea many of the people are out of doors in the fields or in their gardens. The chnrch bell rings at 12, and the mowers put down their scytb.es, and take off their caps, and fold their hands In prayer for about a minute and then go on with their work.
