Earling Was Considerate

Chicago, Jan. 14. - A committee repre senting the operators and agents of th Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul railwa inaJe a final cali on General Manage Earling yesterday and demanded that ai those men oí their class who have been discharged be reinstated and the forme schedule of wages be restored. Mr Earling told the committee tüut if th men who presented the petition stat ing their grievances would withdraw their ñames he would not discharge them on account of having signed that docu ment. This propoxition the committee rejected, and they have since decided tha unless their demanda were acceded to th operators, aguuts, and clerks would re sign in a body.
