Dr. Robert Koch
Dr. Robert Koch, whose discovery of the lyruph treatment for consumption and lupus has caused so niuch ment, was bom atClausthal.Germany, Dec. 11, 1843, and was bred at Goettingen. His discovery of the bacillus of tuberculosis was made in 1883, though he had beoome celebrated as a physician and scientific investigator long before that time. In 1888 he led the cholera expedition to Egypt, and shortly afterward anaounced the discovery of the cholera bacillus, which was followed by nmch hcated discussion.
