Confessed His Crime

Manistee, Mich., Feb. 24.- Johannes Salamonsei. who was arrested last week on suspicion of being implicated in the murder of Record Carlson, broke down and made a f uil confession. He says that be put sixty graius of strychnme in a flask of whisky, and when he carne to Manistee with Carlson induced the latter to drink the mixture: Carlson became violently ill, and, on a pretenso of securing a doctor, Salamonsen took out bis friend's pocketbook containing his keys and then left him to die in a vacant lot. He returned to Eastlake and in Carlson's trunk round $165 in money, the possession of which led to his being suspected of the crime.
