Mr. and Mrs. John Moore are visiting friends in Detroit and Port Hu ron. Judge T. M. Cooley and Prof. H. C. Adams have returned to Washington. Miss Jessie F. Allman was given a surprise party on her birthday, last Friday evening. Ottmar Eberbach is attending . a meeting of the State Pharmaceutical Board in Saginaw. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Rose, of Pittsfield, entertained a party of friends, Friday evening. Prof. Adney A. Hall and wife, of Chelsea, visited at C. L. Blodgett's, West Huron street, Saturday. Miss ValentÃn, who has been visiting Miss Rebecca Henriques, leaves for Minneapolis, to-day. Miss Ethel Crawford, of Philadelphia, who has been visiting Miss Henriques, goes to Chicago to-day to visit friends. Edgar Burnett, American Express agent at Jackson, is visiting his mother on the corner of Ingalls and Lawrence streets. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lathrop attended the celebration of the eighty second birthday of Orman Clark in Lyndon, Saturday. Mrs. D. W. Russ, of South Bend, Ind., was called to this city, Saturday, by the death of her mother, Mrs. Eliza Robinson. Hon. Charles R. Whitman has gone to Washington, D. C, to attend a meeting of the railroad commissioners of the various states.
