Samuel Krause has returned from Boston, Mass. George Moore returned from Chicago, Saturday. Mrs. Lydia Tuckerhas been visiting in South Lyon. Col. Geo. P. Sanford, of Lansing, was in the city, Friday. John Staudt, of New York city, visited with friends for a few hours Sunday. Col. and Mrs. C. V. Pond were the guests of Col. H. S. Dean, over Sunday. Jerry Ryan was called to Ypsilanti yesterday by the illness of his mother. Mrs. Ruth Patchen, of Manchester, is visiting her sister, Mrs. S. W. Clarkson. Mr. and Mrs. Duncan, of LaSalle, 111., is visiting at Mrs. Devany's, on Ann street. Mayor Manly leaves this evening to attend a meeting of the board of managers of the Soldiers' Home, in Grand Rapids. Prosecuting Attorney Wirt Newkirk, of Luther, made a flying visit here yesterday. James L. Duffy has begun the study of Blackstone and has entered the law department. Mrs. Grant Jenkins and daughter, of Detroit, stopped over one day last week to visit her father-in-law. Col. H. S. Dean, J. Q. A. Ses sions, Maj. W. C. Stevens and Dr W. F. Breakey are in attendance on the G. A. R. encampment at Mus cegon. One and one-third fare for rounc trip via T. A. A. & N. M.
