'Experiment'-Minded: Students and others crowd a hallway in the University's College of Architecture and Design Building to see last night's Cinema Guild showing of experimental "off-beat" films. Ann Arbor police stopped last week's show and seized the film "Flaming Creatures" on the grounds it is obscene. No such move took place last night. The furor resulted in a great increase in business for the Cinema Guild--four instead of the usual two showing were required to take care of the crowds. This photo was taken a few minutes prior to the 7 p.m. show which already had a "full house."

Yes, You Are Correct, Nylons Were In: Ten degrees above zero weather didn't keep hundreds of women (and a few brave men) from standing in line today at Kessel's Fashion Shop on S. Main St. to try for a purchase of nylon hose. The news spread fast when the stockings were put on sale at 11 o'clock this morning and by 1:30 this afternoon the 396 pairs of nylons were completely sold out. The line-up extended at one time for a full city block as elated women waited for a chance to get the coveted hosiery. Each person buying a pair signed a slip of paper to the effect, no doubt to keep women from trying a repeat performance.

THE HORSE MAKES A COMEBACK: This is the first horse and wagon to be put into use by an Ann Arbor business firm to replace trucks since automobile and tire rationing began. It will be used by the Michigan Neon Co. as a service wagon. Decorated in red, white and blue, the outfit carries a strong patriotic note. This is further evidenced by the "Remember Pearl Harbor" legend on the horse blanket and "Buy Defense Bonds" painted on the wagon. Good-natured acceptance of tire and truck restrictions is indicated by the "Service Under Any Conditon" and "Save on Rubber" slogans on the sides of the wagon.
