ON LAKE ST. CLAIR'S SHALLOW SHORES: This picture taken at the Mt. Clemens municipal beach, shows the flat country bordering the lake. The water is shallow far out, handicapping the use of the lake for bathing and boating. It has been suggested, that a causeway carrying a scenic highway flanked by bathing beaches be built half a mile out in the lake from Gaukler Point to the mouth of the Clinton river.

Sparkling New Equipment: Mrs. Gertrude Rankin, cook (left), and Miss Nora McMullen, resident nurse, are pictured in the new kitchen at the Anna Botsford Bach Home, 2422 W. Liberty St. The kitchen and other improvements were financed by contributions from area individuals and organizations. The executive board of the Old Ladies' Home Association began its annual appeal for funds today with the mailing of 400 letters. The home's staff also includes Mrs. Ruth Seago, manager, and Mrs. emma Bradford, maid.
