Want of proper legtsltition on this subject, stands in ihe wuy of the success of this glórious cause. Oar legisiators have it in thcir power to entirely slop the manufacture and sale of these poisons, and if they leislate fur the general good of the country, they are in duly bound to do it; and I do not see any other reason why they do not do it, on!y that so mnny of thetn like i 1 i tile drop thernselves.
