i I ursuant to notice the friends of Liberty Houuuations met at the CJourt House in Adriun, on Tuesday the 12th of October, instant, wlien on rnotion, Washington Harwood was called to the chair, uiid J. Carpenter, appointed Secretary. After some íemarks by several members, on motion of J . Carpenter, voted that a committeeof three be appointed to present the numes of candidates for nomination. Whtreupoi!, J. Carpenter, J. S. Dixon, and L. Perkins, were appoinied said cornmittee. The Commiltee retired and the follow ing ñames were soon after reported, and unanimously adopted by the convention. For Representativos, Stephen Allen, of Madison; Henky Tripp, of Franklin; Williaíi Kedzie, ofBlissfield,and Washington üahwood of Adrián. For County Cotnmtsdíoner, Benjamin H. Lewis, ol' Palmyra. On monlion of S. B. Treadwell, voted, that a cnonty corresponding commillee of ihree be cliosen with power to appoint of such town commiitecs as they should think proper. Whereupon, J. Carpenter, Thomas Tabor,and J. S. Dixon, were appointed saiá Cüinmitlee. On motion, Charles Philbrook, Solomon G. ïticc, and A. Grillenden, were chosen a town Luisiuoss Coinrnitioe for Adrián. On moiioti, D. Curpenter, Win. Kedzie and F. Clark, were chosv n a commitiee for the town of Blissfield. On motion of J. Garpenfer, Resolved, That the Michigan Whig, Adrián Watchtower, and Signal of Liberty bi requested to publish the proceedings ofihis Convention. On motion the Convention adjourncd sino die.
