Description

Chris Sammons website:

'This mural was commissioned as a joint collaboration between the Ann Arbor Art Center and The Blind Pig. Located on the side of The Blind Pig it frames the entrance to their basement dive bar, 8 Ball Saloon. The mural was commissioned during the beginning of the COVID lockdown so I wanted to create a piece that represented the social interaction we were all missing. I gathered together a crew of dokkaebi goblins enjoying themselves, drinking, and playing pool. Given the Blind Pig’s history as a nationally recognized music venue, speakers were added to the background. The Tiger and the Magpie were also included as they are common motifs in traditional Korean folk art.'
