The all-black dogs are cocker spaniels, and the black-and-whites are a combination of springer spaniel and shepherd. Along with at least 30 adult dogs, the shelter also has 20 cats for give-away. Hamlet, however, is not among them. He's the property of Jack Marshall, humane officer.
