ENTER CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS TONIGHT: The Argus softball team shown above, winner of the title in the Industrial league, will open its bid for the city softball championship at 6:30 tonight by meeting the Elks of the fraternal leagues at Wines Field. Grennans of the Majors and Wells of the Business league will clash in the second game at 8:15. The winners of tonight's two battles will decide the city title Friday evening at Wines. The Argus players, left to right are as follows: Top row - James Curtis, Merrill Rayment, Edwin O'Donnell, Francis O'Donnell, Edward Kucher, Paul Haines, Joseph O'Donnell, Joseph Dobransky and Manager Harold Peterson. Front row: Gus Christ, Donald Strite, Sam Neustadt, Jack Ashby, Jerry Gilbert and Louis Beleau.

READY FOR OPENER: Ann Arbor high's Pioneers will open their football season at Wayne tomorrow afternoon with Wayne high providing the opposition. Starting in the Purple and White backfield will be, left to right, Bob Hendee, right half, Lewis Kalb, quarterback, Captain Bob Westfall, fullback, and Willis Warner, left half. Coach Louis Hollway is still far from certain as to his starting forwards but last night nominated Sam Neustadt as right end, Pete Kokenakes at right tackle, Ned Reading at right guard, George Tessmer at center, Bill Lillis at left guard, Marshall Karr at left tackle and Carl Watkins at left end.

ACE PASS RECEIVER: Sam Neustadt, husky junior end, will be a target for Captain Bob Westfall's passes tomorrow night when Ann Arbor high's Pioneers close their season at Wines field against Jackson. Neustadt was on the receiving end of many of Westfall's heaves last week as the Pioneers routed Ferndale. Sam has one more year of competition.
