Bicycle Pickup: Two Public Works Department workmen, Arthur B. Trevithick (left) and Dorvan A. Karr, place an unregistered bicycle on a truck while Patrolman Don M. Curtis stands by. City officials ordered a truck into service today to pick up all bikes in the city which do not bear a 1956 license tag. By 10:30 a.m. a total of 40 bicycles had been confiscated and brought to police headquarters. The final number was expected to be much higher. Bike owners must prove ownership and buy licenses to recover the bikes.
