Permanent Peace Table: This 'Peace' float took first place in the University's Homecoming parade. It was entered by Chi Alpha Fraternity and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. A total of 22 floats were entered int he parade by fraternity-sorority groups and residence halls on campus. Thousands of area residents watched the parade.

One of the floats (top photo) illustrating this year's theme of "That Wizard of Ours," showed Indiana bowing before the Wolverine Wizard and attracted the attention of eager viewers who may be seen standing between the panels of the Fourth Ave. parking structure.
