Research Rental Unit Under Way: This is some of the structural work which will help form a 24,000-square-foot, two-level rental facility in Ann Arbor's Research Park. The 80x150-foot structure, which is expected to be completed in the spring, will be "framed" by 48 pre-cast concrete columns of rectangular shape that will be set at right angles to the building. It will have a five-foot roof overhang. Inside, the building will have two 8x63-foot rental areas on each level serviced by a reception area in common. So far, the Detroit Testing Laboratory has agreed to take up 6,000 square feet in the rental facility. A Detroit group, which is building the structure, has reported more than a dozen inquiries in connection with leasing space in the rental facility to research organizations. Principal owners of the building are Ralph E. Dailey, Richard McManus and John E. Green, all Detroit contractors.

Research Rental Unit Taking Form: Most of 48 rectangular columns have been put in place to "frame-in" a $000000 rental facility for industrial research firms, which is being built in Ann Arbor's 210-acre Research park. The two-story, 24,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed in March. One of the Detroit owners of the rental facility said earlier that four research organizations have agree to occupy 14,000 square feet in the rental facility. Only one so far announced is the Detroit Testing Laboratory, which will take up 6,000 square feet. The new building is another step in the development of Ann Arbor's Research Park. Other construction sites are being promoted nationally.
