DRILL FOR CONCERT TONIGHT: Music certainly has charms thinks an onlooker as he watches the 14 cellists of the massed string orchestra of 100 players recruited from Ann Arbor Public schools as they practice for the annual May Music Festival at 7:30 tonight in Hill auditorium. Forgotten are all the other intrigues of springtime as the young musicians concentrate on the things at hand, namely, a cello and a somewhat difficult composition.

VIOLINISTS PRACTICE: Fritz Kreisler has nothing on these youthful second violinists of the all-city public school orchestra when it comes to enthusiasm. In the above picture they are shown rehearsing for their selections in tonight's concert, for which there will be no charge, in Hill auditorium. Whether or not the Negro boy is weary or whether he is captivated by the music of his co-players remains unknown.
