Museum Party: Aaron Varani, 2 1/2, of Ann Arbor discovers how to operate an electric generator, left, while Joe Berlucchi, a 6-year-old from Ypsilanti, eyes the mysterious Bernoulli ball, right, at Sunday's first birthday party for the Hands On Museum in Ann Arbor. About 200 guests sampled a cake that resembled the Museum's historic building at the corner of Huron and Fifth Avenues, and grownups and children alike tried out some of the new exhibits at the museum. Besides the Bernoulli ball, which is held in position by a stream of air from the cone, those include an archaeology display of items found during the renovation of the old city fire station, a levitator and a light table.
