For a look at organic gardening locally, you might consider taking a tour of the Ecology Center's organic garden at the corner of Beal and Glazier Way. Tom Blessing, director of the Center, points out that information signs explaining many techniques such as mulching, companion planting and organic insect control are on display at the garden, open for tours this month on Tuesday (from 3 to 6 p.m.), Saturday (from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and SUnday (from 1 to 6 p.m.) For tours at other times, call the Ecology Center at 761-3186. The Center asks for a $5 donation per group tour to help support the garden project.
