Moving Day At Perry School: Seven new classrooms at Perry School were used for the first time today. The classrooms are part of a $300,000 addition to the front of the former Harriet School. Besides the classrooms, the addition has a gymnasium-auditorium, kitchen and office. The top view [this photo] shows Perry School's "new face." One of the seven new classrooms is shown in the lower picture. Among members of Ruth P. Samson's first grade class are fifth graders who helped in this morning's moving operation. The addition will be formally dedicated Nov. 28.

Easter Assembly Presented: Children of the Perry Elementary School in Ypsilanti presented their traditional Easter program this morning for pupils and parents. Given by the second and sixth grades, it was typical of similar observances given by all Ypsilanti public schools. Taking part in the secular and sacred Perry program were (left to right) Brenda Robinson, Luzon Hestaerly, Isaiah Johnson, and George Moore. The traditional week-long spring recess for Ypsilanti public school children began at noon today.
