SURPRISE, MOM - When Genne DeHenau told her mother she was going to run some errands Thursday, her mom didn't think she intended to do some work in the assistant principal's office at Pioneer High School. But the 17-year-old Huron High School student, with the help of a custodian, got into the office where her mother works. Genne's mother, Kim, is a secretary for Jim Clark, assistant principal at Pioneer, and Genne wanted to wish her a happy mother's day by surprising her with some interior decorating.
