Medicine bottles and a paint bottle (upper left) were among the artifacts recovered from the chicken coop, which appears to have been a dumping ground for trash from the main house. The Indian artifacts - an unfinished arrowhead and fragments of a clay pipe - were also found there. The butter knife, which had the date 1894 stamped on the back, was found by the horse barn.
