Cress of Sunset Rd., at the left above, was elected president of the Michigan Alumnae club at its meeting held yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. James Inglis on Highland Rd. Confering with her in the living room yesterday was Mrs. Philip McCallum of Jefferson St., the first president of the junior group organized only last Friday.

PILING UP THE STOCK FOR THE ALUMNAE BOOK FAIR: The transportation committee for the annual used book sale of the junior group of the Michigan Alumnae Club, is a busy one these days, gathering up the books donated for the sale which will be held on May 23, 24 and 25. Mrs. A. Jackson Day of Granger Ave. is chairman of the committee. From the left in the group above are Mrs. Day, Mrs. Henry W. Bryan of Scottwood Ave. and Mrs. E. L. Mollin of Brooklyn Ave. Miss Barbara Leidy of Granger Ave. is general chairman of the sale. Used books will be collected by the alumnae, any of whom may be called. The proceeds from the sale will be used for scholarships for Ann Arbor girls and for other service to the University or women students.
