"This was the scene at Yost Fieldhouse this morning as some early risers cast votes for three candidates in the Ann Arbor Board of Education election and for millage and bonding issues offered by the Ann Arbor School District and Washtenaw School District. Yost Fieldhouse is the voting place for Precinct 23, which includes all of ward 4, Precinct 4, Precinct 7 of the city. For the first time this year, the places of voting for school elections are the same as for city elections. Pictured are (from left) Mrs. Charles L. Howe, Mrs. R. E. Kiwanis Pet & Hobby Show Winners, May 1937 Photographer: Eck Stanger

Published In:
Ann Arbor News, May 1, 1937

Win Beauty Contest: Amond the "prettiest" dogs exhibited yesterday at the annual Kiwanis Pet and Hobby Show in Yost Field house were those shown above, with their youthful owners. Reading left to right the boys answer to the names, Matt Mann jr., Irwin Salisbury and Dale Ottmar. The dogs answer to most any name that comes to mind. Or, in lieu of a good name a cheery whistle will serve the purpose.
