VOLUNTEERS SERVE HOSPITALS: Assisting in hospital service is one of many fields in which local civilian volunteers are now engaged. Transporting patients, one of the regular services performed, is illustrated here. The baby, a ward of the Michigan Children's Aid Society, has been brought to the University hospital by Mrs. Charles De Baker (left), a member of the Red Cross motor copes. Mrs. Rodney Dosey (right) a member of the hospital's volunteer staff, takes charge of the child from this point until treatment is completed.
