COUNTY'S YOUNGEST SUCCESSFUL NIMROD?: Present claimant to the title of youngest successful deer hunter in Washtenaw county is Charles Bell, 13-year-old eighth grader in the Gallagher rural school in Dexter township, who is shown above with the buck he shot before 10 o'clock Saturday morning near Grayling. Charles was hunting with his father, Louis Bell, and an older brother, Elton, neither of whom was successful.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Stein, 4300 Liberty Rd., were back in Ann Arbor this morning with a brace of bucks to prove their prowess as nimrods in the northern deer country. Mr. Stein dropped his deer about 7:30 Saturday morning, the opening day, and his wife recorded her kill by 10 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Stein were hunting in Alcona county.
