HURRY UP, SOUP'S ON: The most popular spot at Camp Newkirk is Yost Lodge - at meal time - and the scouts snapped by the photographer were wasting no time responding to the call for dinner, though Jerry Guy (second from left) seemed to be looking back to see what was keeping his companions, Harold Greashober, William Bedson and Wilbert Bradley, Joseph Laird (at left) was waiting patiently for the others.

CANOEING IS POPULAR AT NEWKIRK: Next to swimming, many scouts at Newkirk find canoeing the most enjoyable feature of camp life. Joseph Laird and Heini Kessler (in canoe at left) were already pulling away from shore as Roger Smith, David Meier and William Buys lowered a second canoe into the water for Allen Pearsall and Roger Wellington, waiting paddle in hand.
