Loot From Alleged Shoplifters: Ann Arbor Police Department Detective Sgt. Kenneth Klinge checks some of the items confiscated from alleged shoplifters who have been arrested in city stores. The loot ranges from costume jewelry worth less than $1 to suits and coats valued at several hundred dollars. The items are held as evidence pending disposal of the cases in court and then generally are returned to the owners.

Police To Auction Varied Items: If you're in the market for anything from a squirrel cape to an English bicycle, show up at 10 a.m. Saturday at the rear of Ann Arbor police headquarters. There, more than 200 items which police have been holding for months will be sold to the highest bidders. Detective Sgt.
