TRIPLETS MAKE FIRST APPEARANCE FOR PHOTOGRAPHER: Ann Arbor's first triplets in 20 years are pictured above in the nursery at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital. They are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Handy, II, of 606 Wilton Ct. The girls were named late this morning. Holding Rebecca Louise (left), who weighs three pounds nine ounces, is Nurse Loretta Kramer; Nancy Adele, weighing three pounds 12 ounces is held by Nurse Margaret Harrison, while Mary Catherine, the plump one of the group who tips the scales at two ounces over four pounds is held by Nurse Dorothy Burkholder. The infants arrived just after 11 o'clock yesterday morning.

The birds are larger replicas of the "100 Cranes" hanging in the background which are good luck symbols in Japan.

TRIPLETS JOIN FAMILY: Mrs. Mary Lois Hope and her husband, Buel, of 12180 Hitchingham Rd., Milan, welcomed two boys and a girl into their family between 3:34 and 3:49 p.m. yesterday. The triplets born in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital have five brothers and sisters ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 18 years. Mr. Hope is an inspector for the Ford Motor Co., in Ypsilanti. The boys weighted 5 pounds, 1 ounce, and 5 pounds, 4 ounces, and the girl who arrived between her brothers, weighed 4 pounds, 10 ounces.
