Rehearse For Benefit Production - Members of the Civic Amateur Theater cast for "The Man Who Came to Dinner" are rehearsing for the benefit showing of the play which will be given next Thursday night in Pattengill auditorium of the High school. Proceeds will be used to establish a Junior Chamber of Commerce information bureau to aid men interested in enlisting in the nation's armed services. Shown above are Prof. John C. In Civic Theater Benefit Play - G. Davis Sellards of Brooklyn Ave. and Margaret Allen, 1207 S. State St. (above) will play leading roles in the Civic Theatre production, "Easy Living" a three-act comedy to be given at 8:30 Monday and Tuesday nights in Pattengill auditorium. The performances are sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Commerce for its war service office and are open to the public. Miss Allen is a newcomer in Ann Arbor and in the theater group coming here from Findlay, O., with her sister, Ruth, who also has a part in the play. Mr. Sellards has scored several successes in the Civic Theatre's offerings in recent years.

They received their 'Oscars' at the Ann Arbor Civic Theatre's annual awards banquet Saturday night in the VFW Hall. Left to right are Hover; best supporting actress Mary Ann Stevenson, honored for her portrayal of Abigail in "The Crucible;" best actor Dr. Robert Green, who played John Proctor in "The Crucible;" best actress Ellen O'Brien, honored for her role as Isabel Haverstick in "Period of Adjustment," and Fred F. Ouellette, whose creation of Ensign Pulver in "Mr. Roberts" won him an 'Oscar' as best supporting actor of the past season. The awards were provided by the Ann Arbor Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Zonta Club.

Sadler, officers and several members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, were present when the key to the newly completed house built by the Junior Chamber was turned over to the building committee chairman Harvey E. Ward by the contractor, W. A. Heimerdinger. Left to right are: Wilson White, Floyd C. Moseley, Junior Chamber members, Harold Benz, treasurer, Mr. Ward, Mayor Sadler, Mr. Heimerdinger, Franklin Forsythe, president, and Bruce Palmer, chairman of the board of directors. The house is open for public inspection beginning today.
