Builders Show Starts Today: This was the general scene at Yost Fieldhouse yesterday as Ann Arbor Junior Chamber of Commerce members and exhibitors set up booths and displays for the annual Builders, Merchants and Automotive Show. It started a five-day run at 2 p.m. today. Mayor Cecil O. Creal cut the ribbon opening the show. Hours are 2 to 10 p.m. today through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Besides exhibits, highlights include nightly talent shows through Saturday and a nail-guessing contest. Winners will receive a total of $1,200 in merchandise.

Some of 75 exhibitors were putting finishing touches on their booths this morning. A total of 170 booths will be occupied. The show runs through Saturday. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. tomorrow through Friday and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday. Visitors may park cars at the Ann Arbor High School parking lot and receive free bus transportation to and from the show. An admission will be charged.
