At the Phillip Borkowski residence at 422 Crest, Robert Chase found the strange couple above claiming to be local radio personality Fat Bob Taylor and wife Carol. More reliable sources, however, assured The News that the visitors were really Count Dracula and his bloodthirsty companion Vampira.

PUMPKIN POLE: Gary and Marty Rauser have begun a Halloween tradition in their yard at 2618 Sequoia in Scio Township: a pumpkin totem pole. They got the idea from Gary's mother, who had a similar display at her home, 2060 W. Liberty, each Halloween for the past 15 to 20 years. She died in January. 'Now we'll be doing it every year,' Marty Rauser says.

The dog, who is half Labrador and half beagle, does pumpkin duty from the top of his doghouse for his owner, Jean Goetz.
